Headset for phone has completely changed the world we live in. The phone revolution has given rise to another phenomenon, headsets for phones.

It is hard to imagine a time when people could not be reached any time day or night, even while driving their cars.

Headsets for phones used to be reserved for the telephone operator or secretary who needed to be hands free.

What are some of the best headsets for phones today?

Bluetooth technology has swiftly moved headsets for phones from a jumbled mess of wires to a smart little ear piece. A very popular cheap Bluetooth headset is the Motorola H500.

Features : 10 hour talk time, 100 hour standby, Class 2 offers connection up to 30 ft, Charge time is under an hour

The Pros

These are nice lightweight headsets for phones. The earpiece is much more comfortable than some and fits snugly. A few headsets for phones on the market today have ear loops that are sloppy, you feel like it could fall off your head at any moment.

This headset is small enough to fit easily in your shirt or pants pocket. It weighs .6 ounces and measures 2.3 inches in length.

The Cons

The ear loop on these headsets for phones is not bendable or customizable in any way.

Jawbone Headsets for Phones

Utilizing military grade noise cancellation, this headset has become increasingly popular.

Features

Invisible touch controls

Voice activity sensor

3 ear buds

4 removable ear loops

4 hour talk

8 hour standby

Review Pro/Con

Compared to other units the battery life on these headsets for phones is not impressive. It then separates your voice from background noise for clear sound even in noisy environments.

The biggest issue with this headset is fit, manufacturers have tried to address earlier problems and have to some degree made improvements. However, some users still experience problems fitting the unit to their ear and jaw line. This is doubly important for the Jawbone II because the voice activity sensor depends on detecting movement in your cheek, improper fit means the noise cancellation will not work as well.

Overall

Headsets for phones are here to stay and will no doubt only increase in capability.
